These terms explain how Gear Points, redemptions, String Rewards, and referral bonuses work for the OMG Rewards program (the "Program"). The Program is offered at our discretion and these terms are part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Use.

1. Enrollment

A free OrderMusicGear customer account is required to participate. Guest checkouts do not earn Gear Points or String Rewards progress unless a customer account is created for that order. There is no cost to join.

2. Earning Gear Points

Customers earn 1 Gear Point(s) for every $1 of eligible order subtotal (after any discounts), excluding shipping and tax. Gear Points are credited once an order is marked paid. Cancelled, refunded, or otherwise reversed orders will have their Gear Points clawed back from the balance.

3. Redeeming Gear Points

Gear Points can be redeemed for order discounts at a rate of 100 Gear Points per $1 ($0.01/point). Redemptions must be requested in increments of 100 Gear Points, with a minimum redemption of 200 Gear Points. A single order's discount from redeemed Gear Points is capped at 20% of that order's subtotal. Redemption codes expire 30 days after they're issued; unused Gear Points from an expired code are automatically returned to the customer's balance.

We periodically run String Rewards — automatic "buy a set number, get one free" rewards on select consumable categories (like strings, picks, and reeds). None are currently active — check back soon.

5. Referral bonuses

Customers may share a personal referral code or link. When someone creates an account using that referral code and completes their first paid order, the referring customer receives 500 bonus Gear Points and the new customer receives 100 welcome Gear Points. Referral bonuses are paid once per new customer and require a legitimate first purchase — self-referrals, duplicate accounts, and fraudulent orders are not eligible and may result in forfeiture of Gear Points and Program participation.

6. Program changes

We may modify earning rates, redemption rates, bonus amounts, String Rewards rules, expiration windows, or any other aspect of the Program at any time, including suspending or ending the Program altogether. Gear Point balances are not guaranteed to retain value if the Program changes or ends, though we will make reasonable efforts to honor previously issued, unexpired redemption codes.

7. No cash value

Gear Points, referral bonuses, and String Rewards have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred between accounts, or redeemed for cash, and may only be used toward eligible purchases on ordermusicgear.com.

8. Abuse and termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a customer's Program participation, and to reverse Gear Points or redemptions, for suspected fraud, abuse, or violation of these terms or our Terms of Use.
